Have you ever met someone that is so passionate about their career and craft that it inspires and motivates you to pursue your dreams? That’s the exact feeling I got when I met Bryan Reed Sr. of Pioneer Log Homes as he toured the The Pioneer Cedar Rocket through North America. It’s truly refreshing to talk to someone as passionate as I am about beautiful, handcrafted log homes.
Earlier this year my heart dropped as I watched the news of wildfires approaching one of the Pioneer Log Homes build sites in Williams Lake, British Columbia. Bryan, and many of his crew members worked day and night to battle the wide fires and protect their worksites and their clients handcrafted log homes. Bryan passed along some amazing photos from their battle, which I am sharing in the blog today.
Bryan Reid Sr. and Pioneer Log Homes of B.C. purchased two fire trucks for the 150 Mile Volunteer Fire Department as their crews continued to battle wildfires in the area.
Brian Reid Sr. is one of the stars of the HGTV show Timber Kings. Timber Kings follows the Pioneer Log Homes crew as they build a different log home from raw logs to a completed structure. Each episode features the artistry, craftsmanship and fearlessness of the Pioneer team, and also a little behind-the-scenes construction drama. Timber Kings is now available for viewing in Europe, Hong Kong, South America, Australia, China, Africa, Russia, Germany, France, Switzerland and over 150 countries on all continents.
